WATER CENTER TEAMS WITH 4-H TO MEASURE RAINFALL IN GEORGIA
The Georgia Water Planning and Policy Center, a statewide consortium of water researchers and policy advisors, and local 4-H members are teaming together to collect daily rainfall data for the 2006 crop year. The data collected by these 4-H’ers will be of critical importance to a number of Water Policy Center outreach programs.

The map to the right shows the rainfall collection area and each of the collection points. As rainfall data comes in, our map will become interactive. The interactive map will allow someone to obtain rainfall totals simply by placing your mouse pointer over a certain collection point. Keep in mind, the rainfall totals are collected by 4-H students in the particular location. So, congratulations and thanks to all the students working so hard to make this happen!
